Who We Are
GoFig Studios ("we", "us", "our") develops and operates Chopper, a multiplayer Tien Len (Vietnamese card game) mobile application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users.
Information We Collect
When you use Chopper, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Email address, display name, and avatar selection. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from your identity provider.
- Gameplay data: Game results, card plays, win/loss records, and competitive ratings (Glicko-2) used for matchmaking and leaderboards.
- Push notification tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging device tokens, used solely to notify you when it's your turn in a game.
- Crash reports: Anonymized crash logs and stack traces collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve app stability.
- Friend connections: Friend codes, friend request history, and friend lists that you create within the app.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the game (matchmaking, leaderboards, turn notifications)
- To display your profile to other players in games and on leaderboards
- To send push notifications about your active games
- To diagnose crashes and improve app performance
- To enable the friends system (friend requests, lobby visibility)
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on our self-hosted Supabase instance with row-level security policies. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Game state is filtered server-side so players cannot see opponents' cards.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Firebase (Google): Crash reports and push notification delivery
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Game history is retained indefinitely for leaderboard integrity. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see below).
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information (display name, avatar)
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the app
- Object to data processing where applicable
Children's Privacy
Chopper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
